Typically, the asus expertbook lineup has been eating for business users, and as you will imagine, it works on a B2B model. In fact, the ASUS Expertbook P5405 that I reviewed earlier is also available to business and corporate users. Well, this Asus expertbook changes with P1403CVA.
This laptop is particularly available on Flipkart to buy anyone, and it focuses on practicality, portability and power. A 13th-Gyne Intel Core i7 processor is coupled with 32GB DDR5 RAM, and for some which is less than the rupee. 75,000, it seems a very good deal. Asus claims that it is the perfect laptop for everyday use, making it a solid option for office workers, distance employees or college students. But is it so, or is it higher than only imagination sheet for this laptop? Let’s find out in our intense Asus Experstbook P1403CVA review.
Design and performance
From the first glare, the expertbook P1 makes it clear that it is about the business. It plays a clean, professional design with a matte finish that does not easily attract fingers. It is made using strong polycarbonate plastic, which keeps the weight up to about 1.42 kg. This means that it is lighter enough to move into a backpack without shoulder stress, making it ideal for students who continue to move forward.
While the chassis is not a metal, it still looks quite solid with minimal flakes, especially around the keyboard deck and the hinge. Asus has clearly focused on construction quality here, and shows it. The display is the hub, and gives the screen sufficiently tilt for comfortable use, whether you are sitting on the desk or working on your lap. Another appreciation is that it is a MIL-STD-810H certified. This certainly does not make it bulletproof, but suggests that the laptop can handle daily knocks and bumps without falling.
Branding is kept at least from here, which has only a subtle Asus Expectbook logo on the lid. It is slightly above the surface, so if you are thinking of applying a vinyl on it, the finish will not be clean. Then, you don’t really have to do it. It is a laptop that knows its audience – professional who prefer subtlety and reliability at unnecessary nature.
To go on the display, the expertbook P1 has a 14 -inch full HD panel. It is an average panel, it is enough for basic functions such as writing reports, web browsing, or working on a spreadsheet. However, if the color accuracy is important for your work, you should know that the panel only covers 45% of the NTSC color surge. This means that the color will not pop or look very vibrant.
Another thing that I was thinking about is a standard 16: 9 display. For a laptop that is part of a professional lineup, I actually preferred the 16:10 aspect ratio on it. Additional vertical aspects are greatly appreciated, especially in cases of productivity-oriented use, so I think it is an opportunity for a lapse from Asus.

Asus Expertbook P1 also comes with 720p HD webcam, which is very standard for business laptops in this price range. Although it will not blow anyone in a crisp detail, it works for everyday video calls, zoom meetings or online classes. The quality of the image is well decent in the well-lighted environment-the faces appear to be sufficiently visible, and there is a minimum interval during video chat. However, under low lighting, things may look slightly granular or soft, which is specific to most underlying webcams. Another thing that is specific, but always appreciated is physical secrecy shutter.
Keyboard and touchpad
Moving on the keyboard, the expertbook P1 features ASUS familiar chiclet-style layout, which provides a comfortable typing experience. The keys have a satisfactory amount of travel and feel responsible without being extremely firm. Whether you are typing long emails, working on documents, or writing code, the experience is smooth and co -ordinated, even during extended sessions.
The keyboard comes with a plain white backlight and provides four brightness levels, including the option to close it completely. In its highest settings, the backlight is well bright with the lowest light environment and black kicap unlike pairs. Asus has also added a good touch by giving F1 F1 in a blue pronunciation, which helps them stand out visually, especially useful during video calls.
Just to clarify, these keys still have a white backlight like the rest of the keyboard; Blue tint is only a styling choice on the kicap. Additionally, the arrow is a dedicated Copilot key next to the keys, which is perfect for users who have already begun tool the AI tool of Microsoft in its workflow.
For the touchpad, this compact is quite generous giving 14-inch chassis. It supports multi-touch gestures, tracks easily, and provides a reassured click. While the haptic reaction may feel slightly more sophisticated, it is perfectly functional for the price point. Asus has also involved a fingerprint sensor on the top-right corner of the touchpad area, which works basically with Windows Hello for quick and safe login, for shortage of IR sensors in the webcam department.
Performance and battery life
Now let’s talk about what really matters, which this laptop performs in the real world. Here is a standout 32GB DDR5 RAM, which is rare at this price point. Most laptops in this segment are ships with 16GB, so they are doubled, and that too with the new generation of RAM, the expertbook gives P1 a noticeable edge for users that work with heavy spreadsheets, multiple PDFs, or browser tabs.
He said, there is something to consider- i7-13620H chip is about two years old. It becomes more noticeable than the new laptop in the same value bracket. For example, the ASUS itself offers Vivobook 16 (review), which is powered by the new Intel Core Ultra 225H, a 14-core chip that improves the I7–13620H in most benchmarks, even with only 16GB RAM. It also has better integrated graphics for new Intel Arc GPU, making it more suitable for light creative function.
So what specialist makes the book a viable product? Well, specialistbook P1 is purposeless for professionals. It is compact, easy to carry, and is loaded with business-grade features such as a self-healing bios, chassis intuition detection, and an untreated TPM 2.0 chip-all are all leading to better security and reliability. These do not promote performance, but they make it safe and stronger for business users, IT, or enterprise setup where data security matters.
Finally, the battery is life, and the expertbook comes with the P1 50Wh battery. In PCMark 10 Battery Video Loop Test, the laptop ran a little from 8 hours to 80% of the battery life and the balanced power profile. What will you expect from a work laptop in this price section.
For charging, Asus has included 65W Type-C Charger inside the box. Interestingly, the laptop supports full-range USB-C charging (5V-24V). This means that it can also be at the top using basic USB-C outlets on a standard power bank or flight, making it super convenient for professionals who travel often.
Decision
At the price point of the rupee. 72,990, ASUS Expertbook P1 provides a compelling package for business users seeking a reliable and efficient laptop. With its 13th-Jege Intel Core i7-13620H processor, 32GB DDR5 RAM, and 512GB SSD, it ensures smooth multitasking and quick data access. Light design of laptops, broad port selection, and business-focused features such as a fingerprint sensor and TPM 2.0 chip make it a practical option for professionals that prefer performance and safety without breaking the bank.
Its direct contestant will be Lenovo Thinkpad E14 General 5, priced at the same price and comes with a 13th gene in Intel Core i5–1335U processor, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. While the thinkpad chain is famous for its strong construction quality and excellent keyboard, expertbook P1 provides a more powerful processor and doubles RAM, which provides better performance for multitasking and demanding applications. However, if the brand heritage and keyboard experience are top priorities, the Thinkpad E14 remains a strong contender.
For students and home users, that said, Asus Vivobook 16 can be a more suitable option with the new Intel Core Ultra 525H processor. It provides a modern design, enhanced graphics capabilities, and is better equipped for multimedia functions and casual gaming. While expertbook P1 can certainly serve students and professionals equally, it lacks versatility and freshness that makes Vivobuk 16 a more well -scoring machine. So when it can be purchased by a comprehensive audience, it is difficult to justify why they should do, especially when better-balanced options are present at the same price.
